中信兄弟強打許基宏，近8場比賽敲出4發全壘打，讓自己冷卻已久的砲管，再度燃燒起來。談到手感的恢復，許基宏歸功於學長們的鼓勵，讓他慢慢解開心裡的「結」。
「其實我覺得季初是沒問題，自己再找問題，結果就變成真的有問題了。」許基宏今年球季陷入大低潮，在二軍待了一段很長的時間，直到8月20日才重返一軍。談起自己當時的狀況，許基宏認為就是想太多了，其實照自己原本的方式來打就好了。
「說不著急都是騙人的。」錯過了4個月的一軍賽季，許基宏本季成績退步許多，僅出賽了16場、繳出8轟、4打點、打擊率僅有.183，和去年15轟、62打點、打擊率.356的成績相距甚遠。
而從去年被拿來和王柏融比較，到今年球季初的掙扎，許基宏其實內心也有些掙扎，但是球隊學長們都會鼓勵他，也會提供一些過來人的建議。他也慢慢找回信心，並相信自己、堅持用過去的打擊方式來揮擊，近期也果然慢慢地找回了長打手感。
對於自己本賽季的展望，許基宏笑說：「我的目標就是自己。」希望接下來能突破自我，一年打的比一年更好，要記住這一次的感覺。
